If you follow Lilo on instagram, you’ve probably noticed our use of doggo language everywhere. If you find it annoying, sorry, we ain’t stopping. We love all things meme! But I get how it can be confusing for some people. I came across this interesting article where Internet linguist Gretchen Mcculloch explains how this special lingo came about: “The source probably comes from a combination of two influences: how we as humans talk to our pets, and how we talk to each other on the internet.”.
